...or whenever you'd like to walk. This is/was an unconventional walk for an unconventional year! Our 43rd Arlington CROP Hunger Walk was officially October 17, there was no big send-off gathering.

A Virtual CROP Walk in the Time of Coronavirus
You can still sign up online and walk in isolation or in small groups. Form a team and ask everyone you know to help! Head to the CWS site using the link below.

Thank you for supporting last year's 42nd Annual Arlington CROP Hunger Walk. We raised over $30,000 to feed the hungry.

Currently, well over 1,000 communities across the U.S. join in more than 800 CROP Hunger Walks each year. More than five million CROP Hunger Walkers have participated in more than 36,000 CROP Hunger Walks in the last two decades alone.

The Arlington CROP Hunger Walk is one of the largest Walks in Virginia. During this time, we have raised over $1,100,000 to help feed hungry people, provide food and supplies for disaster zones, assist refugee settlement, and support sustainable agriculture. This year the need has become greater. In addition to life-threatening illness, the pandemic has caused widespread financial hardship. Food pantries nationwide are struggling to keep up with demand.

Locally, the Arlington Food Assistance Center has reported a 40% increase in families seeking food since March. Your generosity helps so many people in so many ways. We give 25% of our funds raised to AFAC.

A 2020 CROP Walk Story
Each year many Church of the Brethren
members participate in the CROP Hunger Walk to raise money for global and local hunger programs. We annually walk in October. This year, we adapted to the times by coming together in a distanced way with a relay walk. We accomplished our goal of raising over $1,000 and filled seven half-hour slots or legs of the relay!
